Given almost all of the characters in this book are female, I’ve discovered people react differently if they know the author is male. So I’m using the time-honored tradition of science fiction writers trying to hide their gender and using my initials.
- In your review please don’t use my first name. The books author is R.A. Davis.
- Don’t mention I’m male. I wrote my bio on the website using They/Them. I won’t be able to keep my sex a secret forever, but on the amazon page I’d like to keep it ambiguous.

Some people receiving this are not regular reviewers of books. Here are some tips.
- It doesn’t have to be long. Giving the book 5 stars and saying, “It was a fun romp with a cool world and exciting plot.” is fine. Wouldn’t want all the reviews to be that short, but many of my reviewers will probably give it longer ones.
- Answer the questions:
- What was your favorite thing about the book? Plot/Story? A Character? The worldbuilding?
- What was your favorite scene?
- If the book made you cry, mention why.
- If it made you laugh give and example.
- If you can make a clever comparison do so. Like the quote in the blurb “Its Power Puff Girls plus the Jetsons.” Or “Red is like James Bond with a flying saucer”
- When people are considering a new author or book from someone they’ve never heard of, they want to know things like:
- Is it any good?
- Is it boring or fun?
- Will I like the characters?
- Is the world in the story interesting and believable?
- Is it funny, or sad. Dramatic or comic?
- Mostly, am I going to regret reading this?
